esterday, while traipsing through the back of the farm to do some plein air drawing with my student and friend, Dana, she noticed this beastly creature! Measuring maybe five inches across its wings, I couldn’t help photographing it and sharing it here. After looking it up, I would say its probably a Polyphemus Moth, the most common of the North American giant silk moths. Its massive body and legs look disturbingly like a tarantula.
The Intention of this Blog
is to share my adventure of repurposing my family farm into art space and re-rooting myself in an 'old fashioned' way of life with my folks, the original Do-It-Yourselfers. It is a platform for me to share with others the things that I learn as I apprentice myself to my parents and grandparents.
