he other day I hurried to the back of the barn to find the source of a strange and LOUD noise.  Here there was a woodpecker hammering on the hollow metal chute attached to the side of one of our silos.  I wondered what he was getting out the experience and decided he must enjoy the loud booming sound he was creating:)
