his week, having talked to the building inspector to find out what permits I needed to get, I was disappointed to find out they need a plan for the barn’s renovation by a licensed architect before they can issue permits. So while I try to find an architect, I have thrown myself at the windows, working out my frustrations on old caulk and paint. Thus, the barn is starting to look like a window-refurbishing factory. My grandpa Pete also built me a prototype for the window box to frame them in. Check it out:
The Intention of this Blog
is to share my adventure of repurposing my family farm into art space and re-rooting myself in an 'old fashioned' way of life with my folks, the original Do-It-Yourselfers. It is a platform for me to share with others the things that I learn as I apprentice myself to my parents and grandparents.
