Grape Harvest

grapes

After a big flock of wild turkeys cleaned us out of grapes last fall, our root cellar’s grape juice supply was getting dangerously low.  Anyone who has tasted our farm’s grape juice knows it packs quite a tangy punch.  This year the only turkey hanging around is a lone tom, and a bunch of my siblings came over on Saturday to help clean grapes for juice.
It was an enjoyable job with good company and Mom canned 35 quarts of the precious liquid!
