Rain gear

 

y mom says all of those years playing the game Mouse Trap in my youth were preparing me for this:

 

That’s a lid to my dad’s portable fire pit on top that I removed the handle from so that it had holes, to use it as a funnel to catch the rain I routed down through the hay shoot.  From there it goes into a five gallon pail of Dom’s with a tap in the bottom, which empties into the old ridge cap off the barn acting as a gutter, ushering it out the door.  Seemed to work with last night’s rain, we’ll see about tomorrow.  And here’s the reference, the beloved Mouse Trap:
