We Bought a Bouja Kettle

ast week we were compelled to purchase a large stainless steel stock pot when the bouja kettle we borrowed last year fell through.  Yesterday, while I fired the last kiln load of bouja bowls, Dom spent part of the day welding a stand for our pot, and we will be fabricating a motorized stirrer for it this week yet hopefully.  It doesn’t look big in this picture but it holds 40 gallons.  Can you believe it?  And boy! was it expensive, so watch out, St Joseph.  We’re even more invested.  This picture might give you a better idea….

Yup, you can put the lid on with me entirely inside it.
