lso, these last few months I have been making these sweet little pins or brooches. You know I love the sgraffito technique (carving through a surface coat of contrasting clay slip) as you have seen it on many of my pots. Lately I have been making these miniature works of wearable art, that look like little wood-cuts. Soon, in May, the co-op in St. Joseph, the Minnesota Street Market will be selling them in their re-vamped local art section:) You can check them out in person there. They have a quality silver pin affixed to the back with some serious jeweler’s glue and are stamped with my name and website. So far, it has been my goal to make no duplicates!
The Intention of this Blog
is to share my adventure of repurposing my family farm into art space and re-rooting myself in an 'old fashioned' way of life with my folks, the original Do-It-Yourselfers. It is a platform for me to share with others the things that I learn as I apprentice myself to my parents and grandparents.
"You cannot express, whatever your walk in life, unless you have a system of expression; and you cannot have a system of expression unless you have a prior system of cognate thinking and feeling; and you cannot have a system of thinking and feeling unless you have had a basic system of living." -Louis Sullivan "The Kindergarten Chats: The Art of Expression: 1"

Anne,
These are gorgeous! I’m interested in the leaf and the palm frond and maybe the barn. Are any of them spoken for? I didn’t see a price listed. Let me know.
Meg
Since you caught me before they ‘go to market’ you can put dibs on any. I will bring them with me on Monday, they range in price from $14 to $20.
