Sgraffito Brooches

pins backAlso, these last few months I have been making these sweet little pins or brooches.  You know I love the sgraffito technique  (carving through a surface coat of contrasting clay slip) as you have seen it on many of my pots.  Lately I have been making these miniature works of wearable art, that look like little wood-cuts.   Soon, in May, the co-op in St. Joseph, the Minnesota Street Market will be selling them in their re-vamped local art section:)  You can check them out in person there.  They have a quality silver pin affixed to the back with some serious jeweler’s glue and are stamped with my name and website.  So far, it has been my goal to make no duplicates!

    Anne,
These are gorgeous! I’m interested in the leaf and the palm frond and maybe the barn. Are any of them spoken for? I didn’t see a price listed. Let me know.
