Printing Posters

Had a blast printing posters for the Bouja in Mary Bruno’s studio yesterday all day.  It took me a few hours just to set all the    <-type.

Find Mary’s website filled with her awesome work in the sidebar links at right.  press

Her old presses sure make the job slick.  At right you see the bed of the press with the type locked into place. And below, the finished poster.

I almost made a hilarious mistake while printing them- since you are setting type backwards it is easy to make and miss mistakes.   When we pulled a proof it read, “fill your bowls with complimentary soups and beard” instead of bread.  Now that would be something, wouldn’t it?
