his weekend, John Birosh and his grandson stopped by for two more loads of hay from the loft. Since we’ve loaded up most of the intact bales, the three of us have been filling this grain truck with broken bales and loose hay when we’re able to. We’ve loaded everything out the small square door in the top right of the picture, right into the truck. There is still quite a few loads of loose hay to move.
I’ll also post a picture of two pieces I recently made and fired at the farm, a commissioned platter, and a Melitta-style coffee-maker for fun. The coffee-maker is inscribed with three women in a garden picking beans, squash, and corn- the trifecta that was once cultivated and supported native people in North and South America, known as the three sisters.
